Twitter Statistics – 2010 [Infographic]

2010 has been another glorious year for Twitter. For starters, people don’t ask you “what is Twitter?” as often as they used to just a year ago. People are getting more involved but the 80-20 rule still very much applies here. Here are some of the takeaways from the set of charts released by sysomos:
- Users with 100+ friends have increased by 3-fold to 21% since 2009.
- 22.5% of users accounted for about 90% of all activity.
- 80% users have less than 500 tweets.
- Users are open to disclosing their location
If you have more than 10,000 followers, you are already in an elite club. Not surprisingly, there are more people with 20K+ followers than those with 10-20K followers.

Here is where you can see other charts released by Sysomos.
