The Kardashev Scale can tell you about a civilization’s technological advancement based on how much energy it can harness. It was first proposed in 1964 by Soviet astronomer Nikolai Kardashev. We are not even a Type I civilization but when we reach Type III, we will be able to control energy across an entire galaxy.
